Usually hit this trail a few times a year. It's 7.5 ish miles in length, paved and follows the North Shore along Lake Arthur. There are many small hills and numerous turns. By all means this trail is far from straight! Trail starts at the bike rental (seasonal) and ends at Davis Marina where there is a beautiful view of the lake. Yellow line up the center of the trail has been recently painted. This park also offers boating, fishing, a beach, picnic areas, hiking (North Country Trail) disc golf and cabin rentals. Visit Moraine State Park website for more information.
Only made 20 minutes into my ride. Got a flat tire on the Ohio side of the trail. PA side was good.
This is a great biking path! Artwork and sculpture along the way, and a picnic area near 71st and Union.
Makes a great clockwise-loop when combined with the Towpath Trail / Washington Reservation All Purpose Trail / Mill Creek Connector Trail.
(Crossing Broadway is a bit harrowing, but the new pedestrian-crossing measures make it easy on the sidewalk.)
Spring ride and so much flooding along the trail. French Creek way above its creek banks, into the woods and the fields along the trail flooded. This is due to so much recent rains. Trail is open but high waters along side.
Mid April, extremely high waters due to very large amounts of recent rains. Some of the trial unable to pass due to overflowing Shenango River. Safety is important! As long as we don't get much rain any time soon, water levels will drop and as always, get out and enjoy some great hiking!
Nice trail. I used it probably 50 times in the last year. Ohio side is a little rough.
Unless you love climbing steep hills for half the ride then this trail isn’t an enjoyable one unless used for training
Great start. This trail needs to be re-established from Canton down through Beach City and finally to Urichsville !
We did a 8.45 mi round trip between Harvard Rd and Warren Rd overhead bridge. Being in a wheelchair we had no issues whatsoever with the surface of the trail.
Great weather for November hiking! Early AM 30° but warmed to 42° with plenty of sun and blue skies. Several horses, 13 hikers, and 2 dogs today. Trail is dry and clear despite recent rain.
Is an additional probably 3 mile loop in the woods that takes you right up to the waterline.
